Hi my name is Chris Jorde and I like being outside, particularly if it involves climbing, skiing, and good friends. However, since you made it here, chances are you know me so I'll leave out the rest of the personal introduction.
Finding a title that appropriately summarizes who I am and what the blog is about, and a title that, for my Dad's sake, is easy to remember, is surprisingly difficult. I tossed around a few ideas before settling on Wanderer:
"Fighting Gravity": very appropriate for climbing, and a solid 90's band known for soundtracking (not sure that's a word) some epic 90's ski movies.
"Thoughts from the summit": Seems to work pretty well for climbing and skiing, and appropriate for the stock background picture. Unfortunately, I fail more than I succeed, so "thoughts from the summit" would be few and far between.
"J-man adventures": Only 3 people have ever called me J-man, so probably more confusing than useful.
But then the trump card. Wanderer. Summarizes me and the purpose of the blog, easy to remember, and a reference to the greatest movie of all time!
